Hi there! Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Georgia Westbrook and I am in the Master of Library and Information Science program at Syracuse University (graduating in December 2019). With a background in art history and student journalism, I’m passionate about information literacy, particularly visual literacy and news literacy, and I am honing my skills in information organization and metadata, copyright, reference, and research.

Currently, I am an Atkins Fellow at the J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte, supporting scholarly communications and digital publishing work. I recently wrapped up a year working in the Learning Commons at SU. I’m also part of the iSchool Public Libraries Initiative — check it out here. I’ve previously worked and/or interned at the Binghamton University Libraries, Corning Museum of Glass Rakow Research Library, and the Jewish Women’s Archive.

I have experience with digital library projects, special collections, reference, publication database management, and oral histories, and I’m always eager to learn more.

If you’d like to get in touch, please email me at grw1996[at]gmail[dot]com.
